Seizure Update: 2.15.18

Dad woke up this morning to me having what they call a “phantom seizure.” There’s no usual signs of having an episode. Just kind of happens internally. The activity during looks like I’m looking at a fly above my head while it sounds like I’m smacking my lips. Also, I lose control of my tongue and I bite down on it. Not hard, but just enough pressure for my tongue to run through my bottom and top teeth. I shake my head because it feels like something is either there or just doesn’t feel right. This episode started around 5:12AM and lasted about 20 minutes.

My Dad calmed me down by petting my head and telling me he was there and that everything is ok. A few minutes into my episode he gave me some cheese with some “candy” in it (phenobarbital) and a few minutes later he gave me a half a spoon full of my favorite Häagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, the good stuff, to help me snap out of it.

Feels like everything is back to normal. Im going to take a quick nap and get some energy for the day. Momma said she’s going to make me some yummy treats today. I can’t wait!

*If there is any other seizure activity on the same day, the seizure update post for the day will be updated.
