Game Bird Dry Dog food
With my condition it is imperative that I eat high quality food. For the past 2 years I have been on Fromm Family Four-Star Dry Kibble “Game Bird Recipe”: A grain-free entrée of duck, turkey, quail, and pheasant with farm-fresh fruits & vegetables. I have tried different brand of food before and this brand and recipe is, paws down, a favorite in our household. (cost $15 for a 4lb – $70 depending on bag size)

Mama has to by it by the case at Costco (about $12-14) because between my real Dad (Aussie) and I, we go through at least a slice a day. Sometimes as a treat but mostly because that’s how Mama and Daddy give me my “Candy” (aka medication) Phenobarbital 16.2 mg in the morning and 30mg at night.. depending on my activity, sometimes they “Pulse” me with extra doses which means EXTRA CHEESE! yum!
When I take my 9pm Potassium Bromide (liquid medication) I get about 1.5 tablespoons of this yummy stuff. That’s because my Potassium Bromide needs to be mixed in with food. By adding it to this, it ensures that I finish the whole thing in one sitting. You should see how I dance when I hear the bowl clink against the counter… That means its tiiiiiiiiime! It’s my sort of my “Amuse-bouche”. I get it before my actual dinner (the Fromm Family Kibble). Dave’s restricted Diet is “for intermittent feeding only.” it is lower in protein, phosphorus, and or magnesium levels which is why my pawrents decided on this for my canned food. I get enough of all that other stuff in my kibble anyway. It cost’s about $3 a can which lasts me about 5 days.
Sometime’s My pawrents switch things up a little by adding a little treat into our dry food. This is only during the times that we really get tired of the same thing every day. Maybe once every few months, they add some mixers into our food and we just gobble it all up.
